For this 24-page book design, I sought to visually interpret the poetic depth and contemplative nature of Rainer Maria Rilke's Letters to a Young Poet. The typography features letterpress wooden type, showcasing the textured imperfections and organic feel of traditional printmaking. To enhance the book's visual narrative, I integrated old Japanese photo prints throughout the pages. Each spread is a composition of collage-like elements, juxtaposing the boldness of letterpress typography with the delicacy of Japanese prints.
